About LIV Trust Accounting Online Software
The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) is the state's peak body for lawyers and those who work with them in the legal sector. The LIV's purpose is to be a dynamic leader and innovator of the legal profession; support and inform members; raise the profile and standing of the legal profession and advocate justice for all.
The LIV Trust Accounting Online Software provides practices with an easy, compliant and cost-effective solution for recording trust accounting transactions.
Cost
A once-only investment of $350 provides:
- Set-up of the software account.
- Log on ready-access for up to 20 users.
- Up to 2 hours of software training for two users.
- Software manual
Monthly Subscription Discount for LIV Members
As a member of the LIV, you will save $15 on the monthly subscription fee for the entire time you maintain your LIV membership. paying only $70 per month. The monthly subscription fee is $85 for non-members/members of interstate associations. All prices are ex GST.

Cancellation Fee
If you cancel your subscription a once-off fee of $500 (plus GST applies) as the LIV is required to store your data for 7 years. Your data is accessible, but cannot be changed, during this time.
System Requirements
This cloud based software works on both Mac and PC. This software can be used in any browser including Explorer and Chrome, although Chrome is recommended. For best performance, please ensure your browsers are up to date.
Security and Privacy Settings
The recommended settings are the default settings for each browser. The following list shows required settings.
Internet Explorer 6

Ensure that the Internet Zone in the Security Zones settings is set to Medium

Internet Explorer 7 or later

Ensure that the Internet Zone in the Security Zones settings is set to Medium-High
|
Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or later

In the Tools menu under Options, ensure that Enable JavaScript is selected
|
Safari 2.0.4 or later versions
|
Click Safari, Preferences, Security, and then Web Content and make sure that Enable JavaScript is selected
|
Chrome 2 or later versions
|
From menu select Settings, click Show advanced settings, in the "Privacy" section click Content settings, under "Javascript section" select Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)

Note: If security settings are set too high, JavaScript might be disabled preventing this site to run correctly.
Required computer software applications
To export and print reports receipts and other information you will need either Microsoft Office Word/Excel or Adobe Acrobat Reader.
